Mary Herbert

略歴
Mary Herbert is Professor of Reproductive Biology at Newcastle University, UK. She is also an Honorary Consultant Clinical Embryologist at Newcastle Fertility Centre. She leads a team of clinical and research scientists working side by side on a program of basic and clinical research. Her group’s research is currently focused on （i） Developing IVF-based techniques to prevent transmission of mitochondrial DNA disease (ii) Understanding the molecular basis for female age-related infertility． Wellcome Trust Centre for Mitochondrial Research, Newcastle Fertility Centre, Institute of Genetic Medicine, Biomedicine West Wing, Centre for Life, Times Square, Newcastle upon Tyne.
